On Wednesday, March 2nd 2022 from 5-6 pm PST (8pm EST) our team member Dr. Laura Chiavaroli, will be the guest speaker at the Plant-Based Eating Online Speaker Series. She will be speaking about her work with the Portfolio Diet, a cholesterol lowering plant-based dietary pattern that has been shown to be as effective as a basic statin drug, which is being recognized in cardiovascular guidelines internationally. She will also talk to us about her work as a content expert for Diabetes Canada in revising the glycemic index resources to highlight the importance of quality carbohydrate foods.
